We are working with a hedge fund in Manhattan that is looking at scaling up its development function to support the trading teams. Firm is modest in size & works within Equities, Options and Commodities. 2 days in-office expected p/w.
No financial expertise is needed here (but interest of course is required!). They have a healthy work life balance and is looking for builder mentalities. There are no ego's here!
Role:
Develop applications (risk/ modeling etc) for portfolio managers in Python
Assist in developing platform architecture and infrastructure.
Essential skills:
Bachelors in CompSci, CompEng, Stat, Math or similarly related field.
Commercial experience with Python for application development Experience with FastAPI, Django, Bottle etc.
Beneficial skills:
Interest in finance, or background working within market data/ trading.
Those from disruptors are highly of interest, as are those from startup ventures.
Expertise in data ingestion, aggregation & optimization.
Compensation:
Total compensation will be $250,000-425,000 for this role. This will be paid in a base and guaranteed bonus.
